Meet Our New Owners
For our Open Day, we opened the doors of Bösehof to everyone curious about what goes on behind the scenes of a 200-year-old house. We had a lot planned: a look back at our history, an honest glimpse into our everyday life, and a preview of what's still to come. And right in the middle of it all, at little stations throughout the house, stood us. The kitchen opened its doors, reception answered questions, and all around the house our guests struck up conversations with us. It was a day when we showed our guests not just our house, but ourselves.
But the afternoon still had one very special moment in store: we introduced Andrea and Michael Baumgarten, our new owners.
The hall was well filled that afternoon, with people curious about our house and with guests who have stayed loyal to us for years. In this setting, Andrea Roming gave a moving speech that expressed deep appreciation for the whole team – a moment that visibly touched us.
Then, at the champagne reception that followed, the moment finally arrived. Many of our guests knew the story of the house over the past months: the difficult chapter of insolvency and the uncertainty that came with it. All the more special, then, to be able to show on this day that Bösehof carries on. Glass of champagne in hand, Andrea and Michael Baumgarten were ready to answer questions and talk with our guests, clearly settled into their new home.
Some days stay with you. August 23rd was one of them.
For us as a team, this moment was more than a formality. We've been through a lot together in recent months, and that's exactly why it mattered to us that the introduction didn't happen on a stage, but right in the thick of things: amid a wine tasting in the Weinzimmer, cocktails at the bar, and finger food from our kitchen. Just the way Bösehof is.
What made us especially happy that afternoon: the interest was huge. Guests who have been connected to the house for years, as well as people visiting us for the very first time, stopped, asked questions, and wished us all the best for the fresh start. That's exactly the feeling we wanted our Open Day to convey: that behind Bösehof stand people who believe in this house. Now, Andrea and Michael Baumgarten are part of that, too.
The past 200 years have shaped Bösehof. What comes next, we'll write together with our new owners – and with you, our guests. As a team, we warmly welcome Andrea and Michael Baumgarten and look forward to what the future holds for all of us. One thing is certain: Bösehof lives on, with and thanks to our guests.
