Kitchen Party 2026
An evening themed "Wild Pumpkin"
What a weekend! Our Kitchen Party 2026 was all about the wild pumpkin, and the day was full of lovely moments long before the kitchen doors opened.
By handcart through Beers
In the afternoon we set off on our handcart tour, which has become a cherished tradition. With warm drinks and hearty snacks on board, Andrea and Carina led our guests from the Bösehof past the windmill, along the field path by the Oberschule and back again. The weather was kind to us, and the forecast storm passed us by.
Along the way there was plenty of chatting, laughing and getting to know each other. By the evening, many familiar faces were meeting again.
Ladies Day at KEMNER Home Company
At the same time, Wiete and Katrin accompanied some of our party guests to the Ladies Day at KEMNER Home Company. Our guests could relax in the exclusive Bösehof Lounge and then browse and shop at their leisure. In high spirits and dressed up for the evening, everyone came together at 6 pm for the Kitchen Party.
Wild pumpkin from our kitchen
Then the kitchen belonged to our guests. Ralf and Martina and their kitchen team served small, refined dishes that brought autumn to the plate. Venison ham with apple and celery salad, sheep's cheese truffles with Hokkaido pumpkin chutney, a cappuccino of musk pumpkin or saddle of venison with juniper sauce: game and pumpkin showed many sides.
To finish, guests could enjoy a butternut squash panna cotta with pumpkin seed brittle and a cheese board with French and Italian specialities, among other treats. Once everyone was happily full, Andy took over the bar and served drinks and cocktails.
The great pumpkin guess
A real highlight was our competition. A giant pumpkin sat in the middle of the hall, and guests were invited to guess its weight just by looking at it. It weighed in at 43.6 kg.
The closest guess came from Volker Hellweg with 43.7 kg, just 100 grams off. He wins two tickets to our New Year's Eve party. Congratulations!
Farewell to Esa and Ramin
The most moving moment of the evening was saying goodbye to two chefs who have carried our kitchen for many years. Esa has been with the Bösehof since 2017 and Ramin since 2018, and both completed their apprenticeships with us. The Kitchen Party was Esa's last working day, and Ramin will leave us in January.
Andrea gathered guests and staff in the Bauernstube and thanked them both in a very personal speech for their commitment, their reliability and the years we shared. There was hardly a dry eye in the room. As a lasting keepsake, each will receive a knife engraved with his name, his years of service and the Bösehof logo, so that wherever they chop vegetables in future, they will remember their colleagues. The team also collected for Esa and presented him with a generous gift basket of delicious mementos.
Dear Esa, dear Ramin, we will miss you. Quite a few people who left the Bösehof have come back one day. Our door is always open to you.
On the dance floor
After the speech, DJ Jörn took over the music and the dance floor quickly filled up. There was plenty of dancing and celebrating, just as we had hoped for this evening.
Until the next Kitchen Party
Thank you to all the guests who celebrated this day with us, and to our team who made it possible. We are already looking forward to the Kitchen Party 2027 and to welcoming you back to our kitchen.
