Some things change – others are meant to stay exactly as they are.
What makes our Bösehof special can't be summed up in just a few buzzwords.
It’s a feeling. A togetherness. An attitude. And that’s exactly what we want to talk about in our first blog post.
As a host, it is important to me to make visible the values our house stands for. Not as a rigid concept, but as a living philosophy that shapes our daily work – and hopefully also the experience of our guests.
What matters to us, how we treat each other, what drives us, and how we want to shape our future – we have put all of this into words for you.
Heinrich Böse, whose story is deeply rooted in our house, was more than just a merchant, captain, and host – he was a person who treated others with respect and warmth. His generous and open nature made him "The Best of the Best," and his legacy continues to shape us to this day. Looking ahead to 2025, we want to reinterpret these values and shape them for the future – in a contemporary, authentic, and approachable way.
“The Best of the Best” – A Living Tradition
Hospitality That Connects
For us, hospitality is not just about caring for our guests – it means creating a place where everyone feels equally comfortable: guests and staff alike. Authenticity and respect are at the core of everything we do. Whether you feel more at ease in casual jeans or elegant attire, we want you to be completely yourself here. Our doors are open to all who value openness and a warm sense of community.
A Place That Supports – For Everyone
At Bösehof, it’s all about creating community. Our staff are more than just a team – they are passionate hosts. Here, you are free to be human, with all your facets. We believe that respect doesn’t start with appearances, but with attitude: listening to each other, valuing one another, and working together toward a common goal.
Sustainability as a Core Value
Our aim is not only to be good hosts but also to act responsibly with the resources of our region. Sustainability and fairness are not just buzzwords for us—they are firmly rooted in our daily lives. Whether in the kitchen, where we deliberately rely on regional and seasonal products, or in the way we treat one another, we want to create a place that lasts not only today but also tomorrow.
The Bösehof Kitchen – Tradition Reimagined
Our kitchen team combines the best of tradition and modernity. Using high-quality products from the region, they create seasonal delicacies that delight both classic connoisseurs and adventurous guests alike. We avoid pre-made dishes and instead focus on genuine craftsmanship and passion. Every soup, every sauce, and every detail on your plate tells a story – fresh, honest, and of the highest quality.
Our Goal
We want to create a space that brings all of this together: the story of Heinrich Böse, the beauty of the region, and the diversity of the people who visit or work in our house. Our goal is to connect tradition and modernity, creating an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and valued.
Welcome to Bösehof – where hospitality is not just a tradition, but an attitude.
Warm regards,
Natascha Grotjohann
