Dear guests, let’s talk about table times!
Some topics are best discussed like good friends – directly, with a wink, and yet without beating around the bush. Today, it’s all about our table times.
It used to be simple: we had so many staff members that we could fulfill almost every request. Whether at 6 p.m. or 9 p.m. – we made it possible.
But times are changing. Costs are rising. Trainees? Hard to find. Good people? Rare and therefore all the more valuable. And we don’t want to burn out these amazing individuals — we want to appreciate them.
That’s why we now offer two seating times: 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. This is a conscious decision—not to restrict you, but to ensure that every guest receives the same high quality and warm service.
What we don’t want is for our team to be insulted because someone thinks “a few minutes” don’t matter. Or for our service staff to be put on the spot because guests arrive significantly late. When the first seating runs too long, the second “wave” literally ends up waiting in the hallway for their table. And that’s no one’s idea of a pleasant experience.
On top of that, our team needs about 15 minutes to lovingly reset your table. This isn’t a quick wipe-and-go — it’s our standard of true hospitality.
Honestly: when you spend your holiday with us, we ask you to embrace this. Enjoy your time. Trust us. The table times aren’t a bothersome obligation—they’re our way of ensuring a truly wonderful evening for everyone—both for you and our staff.
And one more thing close to my heart: I know many guests prefer the 5:30 p.m. seating. We’re grateful for that—it really helps us with planning. But today, I want to make a case for the 8:00 p.m. seating.
We look forward to welcoming you — on time. 😉
The 8:00 p.m. seating is, quite honestly, the more relaxed one. The kitchen has more calm and can really get creative. The service team has time for a chat, a wine recommendation, or that special moment that makes the evening unforgettable. And you? You can stay as long as you like. No pressure, no second seating waiting after you. I’d say: 8 p.m. is the better choice.
We want to be hosts. For you. But also for our team. Because in the end, we’re all sitting at the same table — maybe at different times, but always with the same goal: a special stay for you, and a good workplace for us.
So please: stick to your table time. By doing so, you’re helping not only us but also yourself. And if something comes up — talk to us. Honestly, directly, respectfully. Just as we do.
