Why Isn’t the Room Ready Yet?
Patience That Pays Off
Perhaps you’ve experienced this yourself: you arrive around midday – only to hear at reception that your room unfortunately isn’t ready yet. Regular check-in begins at 3:00 p.m., and sometimes that’s simply the way it is, even though of course you’d love to settle in and unpack right away.
It’s an obvious question: “Why does it take so long to clean just one room?”
The answer is: it doesn’t actually take three hours to clean a room. But in the morning, we never know exactly when each guest will depart. Some leave early, while others enjoy their stay right up to the last minute. Our housekeeping team begins where rooms become available first – and then works their way through the floor step by step. This way, we save unnecessary walking, work efficiently, and conserve resources wherever possible.
If we know you’ve already arrived, we’ll of course try to prioritize your room whenever we can. But sometimes, it simply takes a little time – because we want everything to be just right when we hand over your temporary home.
What matters most to us:
Thoroughness comes before speed. Cleaning products need time to take effect, some rooms require more attention than others – and our staff carry out physically demanding work every day, a profession that fewer and fewer young people are pursuing. Their health and job satisfaction are just as important to us as your comfort. After all, only those who feel good can do great work.
We warmly invite you to use the waiting time to unwind: perhaps with a little refreshment on the terrace or in our rustic Bauernstube, a first visit to the pool, or a stroll through Bad Bederkesa. That way, your stay with us begins in a relaxed way – even if your room needs a moment longer.
We’re delighted to have you here. And we’ll do our very best to make sure you feel at home from the very start.
Sincerely,
Sabine Swinke
